SEASIDE -- Cal State San Bernardino scored 25 runs in two games Saturday but came away with only one victory, a 13-1 drubbing of host Cal State Monterey Bay behind the six-hit pitching of senior right-hander 
Ward Minich.
    The Otters, losers of 13 straight entering the day, erupted for seven runs in the bottom of the eighth to take the opener, 13-12. CSUSB is now 17-19 overall and 8-15 in the CCAA.
    The two teams will play the finale of the four-game series at noon Sunday.
    In the nightcap, 
Johnnie Haas went four-for-five with a home run and four runs scored to lead the Coyotes offense. 
Jason Klug was three-for-five with two RBI. 
Drew Valenzuela and 
Robert Badilla both contributed two hits and two RBI to the cause.
    
Nate Pratt had a triple in the game while Klug and Haas each doubled twice. Valenzuela contributed a double as well.
    The Coyotes gave Minich a big cushion, leading 12-0 after 5.5 innings.
    The Coyotes continued their assault on Otters pitching in game one, taking a 12-6 lead into the bottom of the eighth before Monterey Bay exploded for seven runs to take the game.
    
Chris LeFay had two doubles among h is three hits and drove in four runs for CSUSB. 
Billy Haynes was two-for-three with two RBI and two runs scored. Klug was just one-for-four, but scored three runs and had two RBI. Haas was two-for-four with an RBI and Pratt was two-for-four with an RBI.
