Michael Minjares doubled in three runs and
Johnnie Haas homered as Cal State San Bernardino erupted for six runs in the ninth inning Thursday to defeat Cal State L.A., 10-6, in a non-conference game at Reeder Field.
The same two teams will play at 2 p.m. Friday at Arrowhead Credit Union Park in San Bernardino. The series finale is at 1 p.m. Saturday at ACUP. CSUSB improved to 7-2 while L.A. is 6-4.

Jesus Beltran produced another run, albiet unearned. After
Drew Valenzuela was hit by a pitch to load the bases, Minjares cleared the bases with a double. He then scored on a sacrifice fly by freshman catcher
Chris LeFay.
The turnaround made a winner out of Coyotes pitcher
David McCarthy, who relieved starter
Cheyne Hann in the seventh with the score tied at 4-4. McCarthy yielded two runs to the hosts on RBI hits by Max Moya and Christian Ramirez.
Cal State L.A.'s third pitcher, Nico Moreno, was tagged with the loss, charged with all six runs in the ninth, five of which were unearned.
The two teams combined for 21 hits. Haas was 2-for-5 with three RBI and three runs scored.
Jason Klug and LeFay each had a pair of hits. Darrick Hale and Tyler Warmerdam each had three hits for L.A. while Moya and Ramirez contributed two apiece. Moya drove in three runs on the day.
