    2007: Minjares appeared in 36 games and started 19 times, batting .262  with 16 runs scored and five runs batted in. He handled 121 chances in the field with six errors and a .953 fielding percentage.
    BEFORE CAL STATE: He attended Gonzaga University one year, then played two seasons of baseball at Oxnard College where he was first-team all-Southern California and second-team all-state in 2006. He was a member of the 2005 Western States Conference champion team and a two-time all-WSC selection. He led the state in stolen bases in 2006 with 48.
    HIGH SCHOOL: Minjares played four years of baseball at St. Bonaventure High School in Ventura, graduating in 2003. He was a four-time all-league selection and three-time all-county pick. He played one season of football for a CIF championship team.
    PERSONAL: He is a kinesiology major with a career goal of coaching baseball at the collegiate level. In his spare time he enjoys watching ESPN SportsCenter and playing card games. He has volunteered his time along with his parents feeding the homeless at a local park. His parents are Fernando and Rosemary Minjares.
