AZUSA, Calif. - Three members of the California State University San Bernardino women's track & field team competed Friday in the opening day of the Franson Last Chance Meet, hosted by Azusa Pacific University.
Sophomore
Madi Gutierrez (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) opened the day for the Coyotes, competing in the hammer throw, where she recorded a toss of 38.08 meters to place fifth overall.
In the prelims of the 100 meter hurdles, junior
Joace Warrior (Colton, Calif.) reached Saturday's final with an eighth place finish, running a time of 14.01 seconds. The final is slated for Saturday at 12:45 p.m.
Closing out the evening was senior
Kai Marroquin (Rosemead, Calif.), who ran the 800 meter. She placed 35th in the event, running a time of 2:16.08.
The Yotes will wrap up the Franson Last Chance Meet on Saturday with seven athletes competing.
