LA JOLLA, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino women's track & field team opened competition Friday at day one of the Triton Invitational at UC San Diego.
The top performances of the day for the Coyotes came in the long jump, where junior
Joace Warrior (Colton, Calif.) placed third at 5.64 meters. Classmate
Mar'Azanae Townsend (San Diego, Calif.) broke into the CSUSB top 10 list with a leap of 5.10 meters in the event to place 14th.
A handful of Coyotes ran the 200 meter dash, but none faster than
Coryssa Hope (Moreno Valley, Calif.), who placed 18th in the event at 24.83 seconds. She finished just ahead of junior
Skye Harris (Los Angeles, Calif.), who placed 22nd at 24.98 seconds.
Senior
Diana Vera (Colton, Calif.) rounded out the Coyote runners on the day, finishing the 5,000 meter run in a time of 19:24.49.
The Yotes will conclude the Triton Invitational on Saturday. The first events of the day are slated for 9 a.m.
