AZUSA, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino women's track & field team wrapped up a busy weekend Saturday on the final day of the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University.
In the shot put, junior
Kennedi Jones (San Diego, Calif.) moved up to the number two spot on the CSUSB top-10 list with a heave of 12.09 meters to place 14th overall in the field. In the discus, senior
Melissa Fongod (Corona, Calif.) was the top Coyote thrower, recording a toss of 38.53 meters to place 22nd overall.
Junior
Joace Warrior (Colton, Calif.) placed sixth in the long jump on Saturday at 5.64 meters, but her PR was negated by a wind measurement of 2.1. She also competed in the 100 meter hurdles, where she placed ninth at 14.20 seconds.
In the 200, senior
Cierra Ellis (Eastvale, Calif.) was the top CSUSB finisher with a dash of 25.21 seconds, while senior
Briana Miller (San Bernardino, Calif.) was tops in the 400 meter dash, completing her lap around the track in 58.93 seconds.
Rounding out the top performances for the Coyotes on Saturday was distance runner
Lidia Barrios (Perris, Calif.), who ran a 1,500 in 5:03.89.
The Yotes will be back in action for the two-day Chris Rinne Invitational at UC Riverside, starting on Friday.
