Ashley Legler has been voted as the FloCollege/CCAA Softball Player of the Week, for the week of March 2-8.

Legler batted .667 (6-for-9) to lead the Coyotes offense as CSUSB took three out of four over San Francisco State to start the conference season. Legler drove in four runs with three doubles and two home runs to post a slugging percentage of 1.667. She also scored five times, walked three times without a strikeout for a .750 on-base percentage. Legler also won two games in the circle as the starter in game one of each doubleheader.

After leading and pitching the team to a 11-3 win in the series opener on Friday, Legler had two hits with a solo homer and a RBI double in the nightcap despite the team's 9-3 loss. The senior from San Diego also collected two hits and scored three times with two doubles in game one. On Saturday, Legler again earned a victory in the circle in the first game before returning in the series finale where she belted a two-run home run in the second inning to lead the Coyotes.

Legler ranks third in the CCAA with a .804 slugging percentage and her OPS of 1.243 is fourth best. As a pitcher, she has the third most innings pitched (63.1) and is tied for sixth best with 25 strikeouts.

This is Legler's second career CCAA weekly award. She was the FloCollege/CCAA Pitcher of the Week after throwing a no-hitter in week one.Â
