Game 1: Western Oregon 8, CSUSB 0 (5 Innings)
Western Oregon scored two runs in the first inning and added six more in the fifth to build an 8-0 advantage. San Bernardino was unable to generate offense against the Wolves' pitching staff.
The Coyotes finished with four hits in the game, three of which off the bat of senior Iris Bejarano (Salinas, Calif.). Classmate Madison Zaro (Chino, Calif.) had a base hit and drew a walk, while junior Katie Griego (Rialto, Calif.) also reached base via walk.
In the circle, senior Ashley Legler (San Diego, Calif.) took the loss, allowing six earned runs on eight hits over 4.2 innings.Â

Game 2: CSUSB 7, Simon Fraser 6
Simon Fraser scored two runs in the top of the first to take a 2-0 lead.
Redshirt sophomore Danyelle Castillo (Atwater, Calif.) led the bottom of the second off with a walk. She ended up stealing second and advanced to third and later scored on a wild pitch. She later homered in the fourth to tie the game 2-2.
CSUSB scored two more in the fourth to take 4-2 lead in the fourth inning after senior Alex Hooper (Auburn, Calif.) hit a two-RBI single to center field. They would add another after Ava Paquin (Fullerton, Calif.), who also started in the circle for the Yotes, scored on a wild pitch after walking and stealing second like Castillo.
Simon Fraser responded with a run in the top of the sixth. However, the Coyotes would counter with two of their own. Hooper led off the inning with a bunt single and advanced to second off a sac bunt and third on a flyout, eventually scoring off a wild pitch.Â
Senior Brooke Brazill (Clovis, Calif.) singled to left center to give the Yotes a 7-3 lead.
In the top of the seventh, the Red Leafs loaded the bases with one out, which prompted CSUSB to make a pitching change. Senior Ashley Legler (San Diego, Calif.), who started in center field, relieved Paquin who pitched all 6.1 innings up until that point.
Simon Fraser hit a pair of RBI singles and hit a sacrifice fly, cutting the lead to 7-6 in favor of the Yotes. The Red Leafs then grounded out to end the game and seal the win for the Yotes, with Legler earning the save.
The Coyotes collected eight hits in the victory, led by two each from Hooper and sophomore Iliana Mejia (Beaumont, Calif.).

Next up for the Coyotes, they will close out play at the NorCal Crossover on Saturday with two more games up in Tracy against St. Martin's and Biola.Â
