FULLERTON, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino women's track & field team opened competition Thursday in the Ben Brown Invitational, taking part in three events.

Joace Warrior (Colton, Calif.) was the second place finisher in the long jump on Thursday, leaping 5.44 meters in a field littered with Division I competition. Also competing in the event was junior
Mar'Azanae Townsend (San Diego, Calif.), who placed 20th at 5.00 meters.
Junior
Natalie Paredes (Buena Park, Calif.) was the leading Coyote in the javelin with a toss of 22.45 meters, while sophomore
Gianna Frank (Marysville, Wash.) was the leader in the hammer with a throw of 42.85 meters. Senior
Melissa Fongod (Corona, Calif.) moved up a spot into seventh on the all-time CSUSB top-10 list in the event at 40.27 meters.
The Coyotes will wrap up competition at the Ben Brown Invitational on Friday. The first events of the day begin at 10 a.m.
