ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Lily Deaton from Cal State San Bernardino has earned the final FloCollege/CCAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award for the 2025 season. 
 
Deaton earned a 15th-place finish at the open race at the UCR Highlander Invitational. The freshman from Menifee, Calif., posted a time of 23:20.6 on the 6k course in Riverside. Deaton had the best finish of any CCAA runner on the weekend, placing 13th among all collegiate runners. 
 
Her performance helped lead Cal State San Bernardino to a fourth-place finish with 140 points.
 
She is the first freshman to win CCAA Runner of the Week this year and the first Coyote to capture the honor since Alexis Wallace won back-to-back weeks in 2022.
 
Deaton and the CSUSB women's cross country team will be at the CCAA Championships on Friday, Oct. 24, in Chico.
