Brian Nielsen show a 66 Saturday to help propel his CSUSB Yotes' golf team to a sixth-place finish at the Dennis Rose Invitational hosted by University of Hawaii-Hilo at Waikoloa Beach Course. Combined with his first-round score of 72, Nielsen wound up in a tie for third place among individual golfers at 138. Newcomer Cole Obrigewitsch closed with a 68 on Saturday to wind up in a tie for 10th place with a two-day total of 141 in the 36-hole tournament.

Isaac Calderon shot a pair of 73s good for a tie for 34th place at 146. Mark Willliams was a stroke back at 147Â with rounds of 75 and 72.
Jetty Sivongsay improved five shots from his opening 79 to finish in a tie for 64th spot after a second round 74.

University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and Cal State San Marcos tied for first place with 565 strokes for two rounds. Chico State and Sonoma State tied for third at 571. Cal State Monterey Bay tied for seventh place at 574, two shots behind the Coyotes (572). The CCAA placed four teams among the top seven finishers.

It was the final tournament of the fall season for the Coyotes team. Earlier in the week, CSUSB finished 10th in the Shark Shootout hosted by Hawaii-Pacific University at Leilehua Golf Course in Waiyawa, Hawaii.
