RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes competed on Friday night in the Chris Rinne Twilight Meet at UC Riverside and put up some great performances.
Victoria Soto broke her school record again in the discus with a throw of 129'7", taking eighth in the event. She broke the record twice in her six throws. Maya Price took home first place in the 200 meters at 25.97 and took second in the high jump at 1.57 meters. She then joined the 4x100 relay with Destiny Colton, Jordan Munford, and Tori Wiley to take third at 4:08.55 to mark the fifth-fastest time at CSUSB.
Savannah Milner put down a personal best and number three time all-time at CSUSB in the 800 meters at 2:19.91, taking fifth. The 4x400 team of Valentina Sanabria, Milner, Miranda Avila, and Price took third at 4:08.55, the seventh-best time at CSUSB. Jordan Munford took second in the 100 meter hurdles at 14.79.
"The team has been working very hard this season and is progressing each week," CSUSB head coach Lauren Reimer-Podgaysky said. "We are preparing for the CCAA Championships in three weeks at UC San Diego. The last meet prior to the championships will be the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University this upcoming Thursday and Friday."
The Yotes will head to Azusa on Thursday for the Bryan Clay.
