CHICO, Calif. - After solid season opening performances at the Pomona-Pitzer All Comers Meet Cal State San Bernardino thrower Victoria Soto have been named CCAA Field Athlete of the Week for Feb. 11-17.

Soto, a freshman from Indio opened up her collegiate career for Cal State San Bernardino in style, breaking the school record in the discus and placing second with a throw of 37.90 meters. She earned a fourth-place finish in the shot put after recording a mark of 9.98 meters, which stands as fourth-best in school history in the event. 

The Coyotes are back in action this Saturday at the Rossi Relays in Claremont.
