POMONA, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes continued their great season so far on Saturday at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational, taking second among 11 teams, only behind host Pomona-Pitzer.
Kaylie Balvaneda was the top finisher for CSUSB in eighth place, coming home at 22:35.7, and Marissa Angulo was right behind in ninth at 22:56.2. Arianna Fuentes finished in the top 15 at 23:17.4 in 15th place. Julia Cantrell finished at 23:25.6 in 17th place to round out the top 20.
"Today was an awesome day," head coach Tom Burleson said. "It was a total team effort in getting ready for the conference championships. I am really proud of our team, they showed up ready to compete at every race so far this year."
The Coyotes have one race left before the CCAA Championships, in two weekends at the Triton Classic in La Jolla, Calif. on October 20.
