Eight members of the Coyotes were listed in the official event program as participants -- seniors Deserae Perez, Rebekah Frazier, Jackeline Felix, junior Krystal Cota, sophomore Patricia Cortez and freshmen Susie Alcaraz, Alyssa Casillas and Cynthia Rivera.
Coach Tom Burleson's teams have been coming to the regional every year and usually finish in the middle of the pack.

Also among the favorites are Alaska-Anchorage of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, No. 1 in the West and No. 4 in the nation. Simon Fraser is ranked No. 3 in the West and No. 6 in the nation. Cal State Stanislaus comes in No. 4 in the West and No. 24 in the nation.
The 6,000-meter race starts at 10:30 a.m. Pacific time. Among the other teams competing is Pac West Conference member Cal Baptist of Riverside.
