Coyotes defeat Biola, 2-1, in women's soccer

Freshman's header is match-winner

Freshman Jenna Sanchez headed in a corner kick from freshman Ashley Haagsma Monday night as Cal State San Bernardino defeated host Biola University, 2-1, in a non-conference women's soccer match at Biola's Barbour Field.
The goal in the 80th minute was the second of the season for Sanchez, helping the Coyotes even their 2007 record at 6-6-2.
The Coyotes took a 1-0 lead in the first half on an unassisted goal by junior forward Krista Feer. Feer fielded a misplayed clearout by the Eagles' goalkeeper and put the ball into the net in the 36th minute for her third goal of the season.
Biola evened the score in the second half, setting the stage for Sanchez' heroics in the 80th minute.
Laura Lyons appeared in goal for the Coyotes for the first time this season and the redshirt sophomore made six saves, four of them in the first half. CSUSB outshot the Eagles 12-9.
