                                Mark Warren
    Two-time Kodak all-American basketball player

Mark Warren is simply the most prolific scorer and rebounder to ever play intercollegiate basketball at Cal State San Bernardino.
In his two years at CSUSB in 1987-88 and 1988-89, Mark set records in 10 categories which still stand today.
He averaged 25.5 points and 13.7 rebounds a game, both all-time career records. His other all-time marks are:
Most points in a single season – 661.
Most points in a single game – 47.
    Scoring average (season) – 25.7

Field goals made (season) – 236
    Rebounds (season) – 377
    Rebounds (career) – 683
Rebounds per game (season) – 14.5
He also ranks No. 2 in free throws made in a single season (188) and No. 3 in career points scored (1,277).
In his two seasons playing under Coach Jim Ducey, the Coyotes were 41-10.
At 6-feet, 9-inches and 210 pounds, Mark was slender but very effective.
In 1987-88, Mark earned third-team Kodak all-America honors in NCAA Division III, leading the Coyotes to a 21-4 record while averaging 25.7 points and 12.8 rebounds a game. He had 32 points and 21 rebounds in a game against UC Santa Cruz.
The team won its last 15 games in a row and finished the season ranked No. 19 in the nation and No. 3 in the West Region.
In 1988-89, Mark earned second-team Kodak all-America honors by averaging 25.4 points and 14.5 rebounds per game for a team that went 20-6. The team hosted an NCAA tournament game for the first time, losing to Pomona Pitzer 108-105 before nearly 1,000 fans in The Den. He was co-captain on a team that averaged 93 points a game.
“He is a dedicated player who has worked hard on his game,” said Coach Ducey in the team’s 1988-89 program. “He is an excellent outside shooter with strong inside moves.”
After graduating from Rim of the World High School in 1984 where he earned all-CIF Southern Section honors twice, Mark played at Division I UC Irvine before transferring to CSUSB. He was a marketing major.
He met his wife, Lissa McDonald Warren, a member of the Coyotes women’s volleyball team, in the athletics training room. The couple lives in Albuquerque, N.M., where until recently Mark owned and operated a successful sporting goods sales and marketing business.
Mark is currently coaching a high school girl’s basketball team. Lissa is the athletic director and teacher at a private school in the city. They have three children, Julia, 14, Hannah, 10, and Garrett, 8.
Coyote Athletics is proud to induct Mark Warren as a founding member of its Hall of Fame.
