VISTA, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino men's golf team got off to a strong start to the spring season on Tuesday, wrapping up their first event of the championship season in third place at Cal State San Marcos' Fujikura Invitational at Shadowridge Golf Club.
Junior
Marco Lin (Taoyuan, Taiwan) finished the tournament tied for fourth place in the field of 75 with a 54-hole total of one under par. He shot a three-over 75 on Tuesday.
CSUSB's low round of the day came from sophomore
Tyler Price (Yucaipa, Calif.), who shot a one-under 71 to finish the tournament at even par. He made six birdies on Tuesday, including four on the back nine.
Sophomore
Aaron Parayno (Fresno, Calif.) was even on Tuesday to round out his tournament at +5, while junior
Kamron Hopson (Redlands, Calif.) was +3 in the final round to finish the tourney at two-over.
Competing as an individual, graduate student
Jetty Sivongsay (Fullerton, Calif.) finished the tournament at one-over par to place 13th on the player leaderboard.
The Coyotes will have a long layoff before heading to the Las Vegas Desert Classic in Boulder City, Nevada from March 2 through 4.
