SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino softball season is just days away. The Yotes finished 2025 with a 26-27 record and an 18-18 record in CCAA play, advancing to the CCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year.
The Coyotes start the season on January 30 at the CUI Kickoff Classic held at the Orange County Great Park, which continues through February 1. Their season opener on Friday is up against future CCAA foe Menlo College.
CSUSB has several key returners, including 2025 CCAA Honorable Mention Alex Hooper (Auburn, Calif.) and two 2024 all-conference selections in Mia Escujuri (Chino Hills, Calif.) (Second Team) and Brooke Brazill (Clovis, Calif.) (Honorable Mention).
In addition to the returners, the Yotes bring in several transfers, including two who earned All-CCAA honors a year ago, both from Sonoma State. Sophomore Ava Paquin (Fullerton, Calif.) earned second-team honors and threw a no-hitter against Cal State Monterey Bay while posting a 2.86 earned run average in 76 innings pitched. Senior Iris Bejarano (Salinas, Calif.), who was an Honorable Mention selection for the Seawolves, hit .296 with a pair of homers and drove in 33 runs.
February 14 serves as the home opener for CSUSB, when they take on CUI for a doubleheader.
CCAA play begins March 6 when they host San Francisco State for a four-game series.
The final series of the season will take place on May 1 and 2, when CSUSB hosts Cal State San Marcos, with Senior Day scheduled for May 2.
Cal State East Bay will host the 2026 CCAA Softball Tournament, which runs from May 6 through May 9.
Following the CCAA Tournament, the West Regionals take place from May 14 to May 16, with the Super Regionals running from May 21 to May 22.
The Division II Women's College World Series runs from May 28 to June 3 at Frost Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
