AKUMAL, Mexico - The California State University San Bernardino men's golf team played round two of the Shootout at PGA Riviera Maya on Tuesday, and has moved up a spot into 10th place heading to the final round.
Three Coyotes shot 5-over 77s to match the team low on Tuesday. Leading the way was sophomore
Aaron Parayno (Fresno, Calif.), who made a team-high four birdies, including on holes 17 and 18, and also holed out for eagle on the par-4 11th.
The other two Coyote 77s cames from newcomers
Isaiah Kim (Porter Ranch, Calif.) and
Marco Lin (Taoyuan, Taiwan).
Junior
Kamron Hopson (Redlands, Calif.) used an 18th hole birdie to close out his round at 7-over 79 to close out the four Coyote scorers.
CSUSB will close out the tournament on Wednesday with a 5:45 a.m. Pacific shotgun start. The Yotes will start on holes 12 through 15.
