ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Cal State San Bernardino's
Aaron Parayno has earned the honor as the FloCollege/CCAA Golfer of the Week for the week of Oct. 1-7.

As the top CCAA finisher at the National Preview in Boulder City, Nev., Parayno shot three under-par rounds to finish tied for second at Boulder Creek Golf Course. He carded an 11-under 205 over the course of the three-round tournament over two days. Parayno was two strokes back of winner Seth Bearden of Midwestern State.

The sophomore from Fresno, Calif., started out with an one-under in round one before a six-under par second round on Monday. Parayno's six-under was the second best single round score of the tournament. He finished off the event with a four-under on Tuesday, which is the second best score on the day.

Parayno led the entire field in Par 4s with a 3.87 average. He tallied 15 birdies for the tournament.

As a team, CSUSB finished tied for fifth, eight shots back of winner Lynn (-28). Cal State East Bay was the top scoring CCAA team at -22.Â

This is Parayno's first career Golfer of the Week award.

The Coyotes will be at the Otter Invitational next week, Oct. 13-14, at the Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside.
