BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The California State University San Bernardino men's golf team finds intself tied for seventh place on Monday evening after competing in rounds one and two of the NCAA National Preview Monday at Boulder Creek Golf Club.
In the opening round, all four scorers finished at even par or better, led by sophomore
Tyler Price (Yucaipa, Calif.). Price shot a three-under 69, and matched a team high for the round with five birdies. Junior
Kamron Hopson (Redlands, Calif.) was a shot back with a two-uner 70, while sophomore
Aaron Parayno (Fresno, Calif.) also made five birdies and shot a one-under 71.
In his first round as a Coyote, redshirt freshman
Steven Rivera (Fresno, Calif.) turned in an even-par 72.Â
Parayno had Cal State San Bernardino's round of the day in his second 18, with a bogey-free six-under 66. He made four birdies, and also eagled the par-5 13th, measuring at 551 yards.
Price was the only other Coyote under par in round two with a two-under 70. Hopson finished at even par, while newcomer
Mario Stump (Benicia, Calif.) turned in a four-over 76 to round out the scorers.
The Yotes will close out round three on Tuesday with an 8 a.m. shotgun start from Boulder Creek Golf Club.
