TURLOCK, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino men's golf team wrapped up play at the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational on Tuesday at the Turlock Country Club.
The Coyotes finished the tournament at +1 which put them in seventh place out of 15 teams. CSUSB shot -1 as a team for the round.
Freshman Tyler Price (Yucaipa, Calif.) led the way for the Yotes in Turlock, finishing the tournament at two-under par despite shooting a one-over 73 in the final round. He ended in a tie for 16th place.
Senior John Kim (Palm Desert, Calif.) saved his best for last, carding a two-under 70 in the final round—his second consecutive round under par. He finished the tournament at even par, tying for 25th place.
Graduate student Jetty Sivongsay (Fullerton, Calif.) bounced back from the previous round with a three-under 69, closing the tournament at four-over par.
Junior Chris Wardrup (La Quinta, Calif.) posted a four-over 76 in the final round, finishing the tournament at seven-over par.
Freshman Aaron Parayno (Fresno, Calif.) wrapped up his tournament with a three-over 75, ending at 13-over par overall.
Competing as an individual, junior Trent Fitzgerald (Santee, Calif.) also shot a three-over 75 in the final round for a seven-over finish for the tournament.
Up next, the Coyotes will compete at the CCAA Championships next Monday through Wednesday at the Sandpiper Golf Club in Goleta, Calif. Cal State Dominguez Hills will serve as the host.
