SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Three California State University San Bernardino softball student-athletes have earned D2CCA All-West Region honors, led by D2CCA West Region Player of the Year
Tereise Tosi (Garden Grove, Calif.).
Tosi and senior Shannon Galliano (San Mateo, Calif.) were each named First Team All-West Region selections, while junior Bri Goris (Chino, Calif.) each earned a spot on the Second Team.
Tosi was previously named the CCAA Player of the Year, CCAA First Team All-Conference, and NFCA First Team All-Region. She led the Coyotes and ranked second in the conference with a .435 batting average, and tied for second in the CCAA in hits with 64. Tosi was the second most walked player in the CCAA in her junior season, with 28 free passes over 48 games played.
Tosi also notched 10 doubles and seven home runs on the season, with 26 runs scored and 31 runs batted in. She struck out only six times in 177 plate appearances, making her the second hardest player to strike out in the CCAA.
Galliano batted .388 on the season for the Coyotes, and led the CCAA with 69 hits on the year. She led the Yotes with 11 doubles, to go along with two triples and a home run. She drove in 23 runs while scoring a team-high 29. She was named a First Team All-Conference selection for her efforts.
Goris held the Cal State San Bernardino home run lead with 11 this season, good for second in the CCAA. She batted .348 with a CCAA-leading 45 runs batted in and 23 runs scored. She was also named a CCAA First Team All-Conference honoree.
