LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino women's track & field team concluded its regular season on Sunday by competing in the Cal State LA Very Last Chance Meet.
The Yotes had four strong performances in the 100 meter dash, led by a first place finish from junior
Hailey Hunt (Winnetka, Calif.). She ran a time of 11.84 seconds, followed by
Kyndahl Carter (Los Angeles, Calif.) with a time of 12.36 seconds,
Mahlaya Salter (Chino, Calif.) with a time of 12.76 seconds, and jumper
Hannah Luster (Roseville, Calif.) running a time of 12.91 seconds.
Carter also competed in the 200 meter dash for the Coyotes, running a time of 25.18 seconds.
CSUSB's final track competitor of the day was junior
Na'kel Pennix (Redlands, Calif.). She ran a time of 56.37 seconds to finish third.
Thrower
Liz Ghazanchian (Glendale, Calif.) competed in both the discus and shot put on Sunday. She recorded a throw of 38.99 meters in the discus, and 9.85 meters in the shot put.
Junior
Emily Nguyen (Westminster, Calif.) was Cal State San Bernardino's top finisher in both the long and triple jumps. In the long jump, Nguyen notched a PR of 5.55 meters to finish second, while placing fourth in the triple jump at 11.10 meters. Also in the long jump, Luster recorded a leap of 5.19 meters, with junior
Gabrielle Aguigui (Vacaville, Calif.) notching a distance of 4.69 meters. In the triple jump, Aguigui recorded a jump of 10.16 meters.
