TURLOCK, Calif. - The California State San Bernardino men's golf team fell to fourth place on Tuesday at the final round of the 49th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational at the Turlock Golf & Country Club.
Junior
John Kim (Palm Desert, Calif.) shot CSUSB's low round of the afternoon, turning in a one-under 71. He birdied three consecutive holes on the back nine, and finished the tournament tied for third overall.
Freshman
Kamron Hopson (Redlands, Calif.) carded an even-par 72, and matched CSUSB's team-high of five birdies in the round.Â
Senior
Cole Obrigewitsch (Deer Valley, Saskatchewan) turned in a 76 for CSUSB, followed closely by sophomore
Chris Wardrup (La Quinta, Calif.) with a 77 to round out the Coyote scorers.
Closing out the CSUSB competitors on Tuesday were
Andres Navarro (Montebello, Calif.) and
Trent Fitzgerald (Santee, Calif.). Each carded identical scores of 80.
CSUSB will be back in action on Friday, April 5, closing out their regular season at the Hot Dirt Desert Invitational at the Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, Ariz.
