With the win, the Coyotes improve to 14-12 overall on the season and 12-9 in the CCAA.

Before the contest, the CSUSB Department of Athletics celebrated eight members of its women's basketball senior class, competing in their final regular season game at Coussoulis Arena. The Coyotes led by as many as nine points in the first quarter, and ended the frame with a 21-17 lead. Jackson was dominant in the opening quarter, posting 11 points with two rebounds and two steals.

Monterey Bay flipped the script in the second quarter, outsourcing San Bernardino 21-8 to take a 38-29 lead into the break. Jackson scored four points in the second quarter, and led all players with 15 points at the intermission.

CSUSB climbed back into the contest in the third quarter, outpacing Monterey Bay 18-10 to close the gap to just one point at 48-47 at the end of three. The Coyotes were led by Lee in the third, who posted six points on 3-for-3 shooting.

The Yotes sealed the win with a strong offensive showing in the fourth quarter, posting 27 points to Monterey Bay's 19 to complete the come-from-behind victory.
