RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The CSUSB men's golf team finished strong in the CCAA Championships, placing third in the tournament just two strokes behind the champion Cal State San Marcos. The Yotes finished with a final score of 856, good for 8 under par as a team.

After entering the day tied for first,
Jetty Sivongsay shot four over par to finish the tournament at -4. This was good enough to keep him tied for fourth place on the individual leaderboard, earning him All-CCAA honors. Sivongsay's 66-stroke performance on Tuesday proved to be the best round out of all 40 golfers in the entire tournament.

John Kim continued his steady performance on Day 3, reaching par to finish two under after all three rounds. This finish helped him place tied for 10
th.
Jacob Calderon was just one stroke behind Kim, rounding out the trio of Yotes that finished under par in the tournament. In fact, CSUSB had more players in the Top 15 than any other school.

Up Next
The Yotes will now wait and see if they qualify for the NCAA Division II Regionals when it is announced on April 28th. The regional will be held May 11-13 at the Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park, CA.
