SEASIDE, Calif. – The CSUSB women's soccer team came up short against Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday afternoon by a score of 2-0, falling to 5-3-1 on the season and 1-1-1 in CCAA play. The Yotes are now tied for third in the CCAA standings with a .500 conference win percentage, while also being tied for third in overall win percentage at .611.

The Otters took an early lead with a goal in the 1
st minute of the game, and both teams would be held scoreless for the remainder of the first half. In the second half, both teams were unable to score until the 73
rd minute, when CSUMB found the net on Amelia McManus' second goal of the game.

Nathaly Losada Lucumi and
Isabella Santa Maria led the attack against the Otters, each taking multiple shots in the game. In total, the Yotes attempted seven shots with four being on goal.

Despite allowing two goals, goalkeeper
Carly Luna tied her season high with seven saves on Friday night. Luna holds a .796 save percentage on the season and ranks second in the CCAA in saves per game at 4.78.
