SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUSB women's soccer team defeated Cal Poly Humboldt on Friday afternoon by a close score of 1-0. With the win, the Yotes improve to 7-4-2 on the season with a 3-2-2 record in conference, while also improving to an impressive 5-1-1 at home.
The Yotes are currently tied for third place in the CCAA standings, holding a .571 conference win percentage along with Chico State and Stanislaus State. Cal State Los Angeles currently sits in first place with a 3-0-4 (.714) record.
There were 16 shots by the Yotes offense in the game, but it only took one to go in for CSUSB to earn the win. After a scoreless first half, the Yotes came out in full force to start the second. Late in the 64

Katherine Walker put a corner kick inside the box. In the midst of the chaos,
Kaylen Gonzalez was able to fire off a clean shot into the back of the net for her second goal of the season.
Carly Luna earned her seventh shutout of the season on Friday afternoon. This was the 14
th of her career, tying Addie Jacobs (1994-1995) for 3
rd place among all-time goalkeepers in school history. Luna also recorded three saves in the win, bringing her season total to 59 for a .819 save percentage.
