Carly Luna were joined by friends and family in a pregame ceremony on the field.
The game itself featured a close matchup between CSUSB and Chico State. The Yotes played hard all game, but ultimately fell to the Wildcats by a final score of 1-0. With the loss, the Yotes fall to 7-5-2 with a 3-3-2 record in CCAA play. CSUSB now ranks 7
th in the conference standings with a .500 conference win percentage, sitting just outside the field of six that would make the CCAA tournament next month.
The Yotes attempted 14 shots in the game to the Wildcat's six. Unfortunately for CSUSB, the only one of those 20 shots to go in came from Chico State in the 27
th minute. Their lone goal would prove to be enough for the win.

The Yotes will finish out the regular season on a three-game road trip, starting with Sonoma State this Friday, October 21
st. They will then take on San Francisco State on Sunday, October 23
rd, followed by Cal State San Marcos on Thursday, October 27
th.
Additionally, should the Yotes qualify, the first round of the CCAA tournament will begin on October 30
th.
