TURLOCK, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes completed their CCAA Championship tune-up on Monday and Tuesday, taking 13th at the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational at the Turlock Golf and Country Club.
Cody Hall recorded his third top-10 finish of the season, coming home at 10th, and in round one, fired his fifth round below par this season with a 71. In that round, he rolled home three birdies, all on par-four holes with just two bogeys. He had five birdies in round two, and even-par 72, and two in his final round of 74 to finish +1 overall.
Zach Kauffmann had a great tournament, finishing in 53rd at +10. He posted eagles in each of his first two rounds to lead the tournament in the statistic. Chico State was the team winner at -19, winning by 19 strokes, and Josh McCollum of Chico State won by five strokes at -10.
Next up for the Coyotes is the CCAA Championships, April 22-24, at the Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside.
