ST. GEORGE, Utah – The CSUSB Coyotes competed among 25 teams on Monday and Tuesday at the Dixie State Regional Preview at the Ledges Golf Club in St. George, Utah.
The Coyotes finished 18th, with
Cody Hall and
Zach Kauffmann leading them, both finishing at five-over-par in a very talented field. They both finished 69th in a field with 135 players.
In round one, Kauffmann had the best round of his young career, shooting a two-under 70 with seven birdies, going two-under on the front and even on the back. Hall went one-under in his second round, with two birdies on the back nine to go one-under par.
Sacha Barbarin was even in his second round, compiling five birdies and an eagle on the par-five 11th.
Mark Williams was one-under in his second round as well, with five birdies. Barbarin and Williams finished in 79th at +6. Chico State ran away with the team championship at 25-under and Isaac Lee of Simon Fraser won the individual championship by two strokes at 10-under.
CSUSB is off until early February, when they return to the links at the Fujukura Invitational, February 4-5.
