Nicole Nobbe put the Coyotes up 3-0 in the third, and when
Kaylee Gemmell scored on a wild pitch one inning later, it seemed the Coyotes would breeze past the Warriors.

The Warriors rallied with a four-run sixth, keyed by Natalie Dorsey's three-run home that tied the game at 4-4.
Gemmell ripped a one-out double to right center in the sixth, and Ortiz answered with a double of her own and the Coyotes led 5-4 heading into the seventh.
The Warriors had runners at second and first with one out and Deenah San Luis up. She hit a sinking line drive to left that Coyotes LF
Monica Maddox shoe-string caught. She then fired a strike to second to double up Cassidy Duke and the Coyotes had their victory.
Ortiz was the only Coyote with more than one hit.
Alyssa Ramos had the only other extra-base hit for CSUSB.

Cassandra Williams had five strikeouts in five innings.
