Biography

2015: Appeared in 35 games with 33 starts for the Coyotes … Hit .231 with 21 hits in 91 at-bats … Eight extra-base hits with six doubles and two HRs … Drove in 12 runs.

2014: Named honorable mention All-CCAA ... An outstanding freshman campaign in which she scored 46 runs, ranking fifth in school history and third in the CCAA ... Hit .350 (No. 16 in the CCAA and 3rd best on squad) ... Also ranked 10th in the CCAA in walks (22) ... Her personal-best 13-game hitting streak was 2nd best on the squad ... Reached base team-best 26 consecutive games ... Had 16 multiple-hit games (10 2-hit games, 6 3-hit games) ... Joined Nicole Nobbe as the only Coyotes to play in all 53 games.

At La Quinta HS: A four-year varsity member, who served as captain her junior and senior seasons at shortstop… Named team’s MVP her sophomore and senior seasons.
 
Personal: Daughter of Sergio and Michele Ortiz… Major is kinesiology… Would like to become a physical therapist… Enjoys baking and exercising… Big fan of ESPN and says math is her favorite subject… Trail mix is her favorite snack… Subway is a personal favorite.
