TURLOCK -- The Coyotes earned offensive production from their big three, but Cal State Stanislaus's hot shooting paved the way in a 72-63 Coyotes' defeat Friday night.
Sophomore Alexcia Mack and senior Trinidee Trice each scored 15 and senior Tayllor Gipson added 13 for the Coyotes, now 4-14 overall and 3-12 heading into Saturday's game at Chico State.
The game was tied at 33-33 at halftime, but the Warriors utilized a 14-2 run midway through the half and grabbed a double-digit lead (55-44) with 9:35 remaining in the game.
The closest the Coyotes could get after that run was seven points.
The Warriors outscored CSUSB 12-0 on 3-pointers and shot 53.8 percent from the field in the final 20 minutes.
Coach Renee Jimenez got another fine output from freshman Tatiana Dunlap, who just missed out on a double-double with nine points and game-high 12 rebounds.
Briana Cotton led the Warriors (11-8, 8-7) with 21 points.
The victory marks the first time CSUS has swept the season series from the Coyotes in 10 seasons.
