SAN BERNARDINO -- A straight-on, 35-yard shot by Cal State L.A.'s Tahne Apo was the difference maker in Cal State San Bernardino's 1-0 loss to the Golden Eagles in CCAA women's soccer Friday at Coyote Premier Field.
Apo blistered a high shot that got past Coyotes' GK
Priscilla Collings at the 17-minute mark and that was the all CSULA needed as it improved to 4-3-2 overall and 3-3-1 in the CCAA, while CSUSB dropped to 4-3-2, 3-3-1.
Collings had four saves on the day, while senior
Jani Carmona-Urbano led the Coyotes in shots with five. Sophomore
Sierra Van Meter had two SOG to lead CSUSB.
Gabriella Batmani had six saves in the shutout for CSULA.
CSUSB completes the weekend with Sunday's game at UC San Diego. Kickoff is 12 p.m.
