LA JOLLA --
Courtney Wilhelms had a pair of hits, but UC San Diego's K. Leshovsky hit a game-winning, three-run home run in the seventh as the Tritons defeated the Coyotes 4-1 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association softball series opener Friday.
The Coyotes are now 11-4 overall and 7-2 in the CCAA.
Wilhelms gave the Coyotes a 1-0 lead in the fourth. With one out, Wilhelms laced a single that scored
Britney Butler, who reached on a walk and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt from
Alyssa Flores.
The Tritons tied the game at 1-1 in the sixth.

Cassidy Lee took the loss. She threw 6 1/3 innings and gave up seven hits.

Jamie Roland and Butler each had a hit.
In game two, Holtzclaw, Butler, Leffingwell and
Felicia Cervantes each had two hits, but the Tritons scored five runs on seven hits and earned the sweep with a 5-2 victory.
Carly Land took the loss. She threw 4 2/3 innings and struck out one with six walks.
