SAN BERNARDINO — Krystal Urzua scored a team-high 15 points for Cal State San Bernardino in a 60-53 loss to San Francisco State Thursday night in the second to last game in California Collegiate Athletic Association play.

Urzua went 7-for-17 from the field for the Coyotes (13-13, 9-12 CCAA)  as CSUSB remains in a tie with Cal State Dominguez Hills for seventh place in the conference standings. Amanda Ragains scored eight points while Kymberly Ooten notched seven.

Donisha Tate scored a game-high 19 for the Gators (15-14, 10-10 CCAA) while teammate Sidney Dobner scored 18 and Nicole Hicks added 10.

Neither team shot above 40 percent as the Gators hit 36.1 percent from the field, 12.5 from downtown, while CSUSB hit 33.3 percent from the floor and 20 percent from beyond the arc.

SFSU doubled the Coyotes' points in the paint, scoring 32 compared to just 16 by CSUSB. 

CSUSB led by as much as seven in the second half and led 51-45 with 5:34 left, but San Francisco State closed out the game with a 15-2 run to cap it.

The Coyotes now take on Cal State Monterey Bay in the final game of the regular season Friday at 5:30 p.m.
