SAN BERNARDINO
-- Courtney Capobianco found a free look at the net just 30 seconds into double overtime and the UC San Diego junior answered as the visiting Tritons defeated the host Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes 1-0 in California Collegiate Athletic Association women's soccer Sunday.

The loss drops CSUSB to 9-6-1 overall and 7-6-1 in the CCAA. The Coyotes will close out the regular season next week with games at Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State L.A.

A CCAA Tourney postseason berth is still a possibility for the Coyotes, who are in contention wtih CSUDH and CSU Stanislaus for the fourth and final slot.

The game was tied at 0-0 through regulation and each team had two shots in the first OT session. Unity Beddingfield had the only shot on goal for either team in the 10-minute period, but Tritons GK Kristin Armstrong earned the save.

On the final play of the game, Sarah McTigue had possession of the ball and worked down the far left lane toward the Coyotes' goal. She had a shot that was just wide, but it pulled Tiffany Mallick out wide and Capobianco was in the right place at the right time. She promptly placed a shot at the open net.

UCSD improved to 12-2-2, 10-2-2.

Senior Day marked the final home games for five seniors -- Anne-Marie Taharamanis, Katie Liby, Jenna Sanchez, Beddingfield and Korianne Massuere.
