Debbie Shisler drove in the winning run with a double in the sixth inning as Cal State San Bernardino rallied from a 4-0 deficit to beat West Region No. 1 Humboldt State, 5-4, Saturday, in the first game of their CCAA softball doubleheader.
The Lumberjacks came back to take the second game, 7-1. CSUSB, ranked No. 9 in the West Region, is now 27-25-1 overall and 12-10 in the CCAA.
Shisler had two doubles in the game while
Priscilla Curiel had one.
Tawni Baker got the win in relief for the Coyotes to improve to 9-7 while Lizzy Prescott, a 2007 all-American, lost to the Coyotes for the second day in a row.
Prescott came back to win the nightcap to improve to 27-7 on the season. The only run she gave up to the Coyotes was a home run by senior
Jamie Lowe.
Cassidy Lee (4-7) took the loss.
