   2008: Shisler was a valuable utility player, playing both the outfield and pitching. She played in 61 of the team's 69 games, starting 55 times. She batted .340 with 11 doubles and 12 RBI and stole 13 bases in 17 tries. She had just three errors in 97 chances for a .969 fielding percentage. In the circle, she posted the pitching staff's lowest earned run average (2.13) with a 6-7 record in 33 appearances. She had six complete games in 15 starts, pitching 124 innings with 49 strikeouts and two shutouts. Shisler was an all-CCAA first-team selection.
    BEFORE CAL STATE: Shisler played one year of softball at University of West Alabama where she earned all-Gulf South Conference first-team honors as a freshman in 2006, batting .400 with 10 runs batted in. In the circle, she struck out 102 batters on a team that won just 14 games during the season. She also played a half season at Glendale, Ariz., College.
    HIGH SCHOOL: She played four years of softball at Scottsdale Christian Academy in Phoenix, Ariz., graduating in 2005. She was named the 2003 2A Pitcher of the Year and was team MVP and offensive player of the year. She also ran cross country for two years and competed in track and field for her coach and father, Bob Shisler.
    PERSONAL: Shisler is majoring in liberal studies with plans to teach at the elementary or middle school level and coach softball. Away from softball she enjoys drawing her favorite Japanese game characters, surfing the Internet, watching NFL football, playing table games and watching her favorite TV shows and movies. Her parents are Bob and Sue Shisler.
