RIVERSIDE, Calif. - California State University San Bernardino women's cross country competed Saturday morning in the 5K UCR Invitational at the UCR Ag Ops Course.

The Yotes finished ninth overall in the 32-team field. 

Leading the way for the Yotes was senior Natalie Brazfield, who placed 25th overall with a time of 18:29.6. 

Senior Yoselin Canseco was next for CSUSB in 48th at 18:48.3, followed by sophomore Julia Fernandez in 52nd at 18:48.9. 

Freshman Aracelly Guzman Zamudio finished 99th in 19:24.2, while junior Celeste Mendoza placed 112th in 19:32.6.  

Junior Aliya Hester finished 119th at 19:36.5, while senior Diana Vera placed 126th in 19:45.6. Senior Hailey Lynk followed in 127th at 19:45.8. 

Next up for the Yotes, they will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Cougar Challenge in San Marcos, Calif. The race is slated for a 9:15 a.m. start at the Mangrum Track & Field Complex.
