CSUSB Set to Host CCAA Cross Country Championships

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – California State University San Bernardino women's cross country is set to host the 2026 CCAA Cross Country Championships presented by Pollo Campero on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the CSUSB Cross Country Course, marking the first time the conference championships have run through CSUSB's campus since 2018.

The meet will determine the conference's individual and team champions, with 12 CCAA programs set to compete. The men's 8,000-meter race will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the women's 6,000-meter race at 11 a.m.

The course is 95 percent grass/dirt with the other five percent being asphalt walkway, and entirely on the CSUSB Campus.  It is a multiple loop course for both men and women.  The course is very spectator-friendly and set on a beautiful grass area on the east end of the campus among the CSUSB athletic fields.

The Coyotes enter the championships coming off a first-place finish at the Highlander Invitational, where they topped a field of 12 teams at UC Riverside's Ag Ops Course. Senior Yoselin Canseco led CSUSB with a fifth-place finish in the 6K race, clocking a time of 22:22.2. Freshman Aracelly Guzman Zamudio followed in sixth place at 22:25.24, while senior Natalie Brazfield finished eighth at 22:31.3.

CSUSB will look to carry that momentum into Saturday's championship race as the Coyotes serve as hosts of the conference championships.
