ALISO VIEJO, Calif. — Nine members of the California State University, San Bernardino baseball team have been named to the California Collegiate Athletic Association all-conference teams, as announced by the conference office Monday evening.
Eddie Alfaro (Moreno Valley, Calif.) and
Garret Barto (Pittsburgh, Pa.) were named to the All-CCAA First Team. Alfaro posted a .408/.497/.611 slash line with four home runs and 33 RBIs, while Barto hit .433/.513/.851 with 16 home runs and 48 RBIs.
Four Coyotes —
Jeremy Giesegh (Upland, Calif.),
Dom Dominguez (Victorville, Calif.),
Juni Rodriguez (Hemet, Calif.), and
Tyson Pettingill (Overton, Nev.) — earned All-CCAA Second Team recognition. Pettingill was also selected as the CCAA Freshman of the Year, becoming the program's first recipient since 2009.
Pettingill batted .404/.520/.706 with 10 home runs, 50 RBIs, and three stolen bases.
Dominguez collected two CCAA Player of the Week honors and was named NCBWA West Region Player of the Week. He finished the season hitting .363/.469/.681 with 15 home runs and a team-high 58 RBIs.
Giesegh hit .301/.408/.557 with 11 home runs, 40 RBIs, and 11 stolen bases, while leading the CCAA with 60 runs scored.
Rodriguez posted a .301/.435/.549 slash line with nine home runs, 43 RBIs, and two stolen bases.
Three Coyotes —
Devyn Hernandez (Pasco, Wash.),
Kailer Saunders (Boise, Idaho), and
Keedan Nadeau (Highland, Calif.) — earned honorable mention recognition.
Saunders led the pitching staff with a 7-3 record and a 4.93 ERA across 12 appearances (11 starts), striking out 54 batters over 65.2 innings.
Nadeau hit .313/.398/.463 with three home runs, 18 RBIs, and a team-high 15 stolen bases.
Hernandez went 3-3 with a 6.16 ERA in 14 appearances (10 starts) and recorded a team-best 72 strikeouts in 64.1 innings.
The group helped the Coyotes earn their first CCAA Tournament berth since their College World Series run in 2023.
