OREM, Utah - The California State University San Bernardino baseball team fell 15-3 in its series finale to Utah Valley University Sunday afternoon at UCCU Ballpark.
With the defeat, the Coyotes drop to 15-14 overall on the season.
The Wolverines had built up a 12-0 lead before the Coyotes got all of their offense in the top of the sixth inning. Junior
Michael Gonsalez (Los Angeles, Calif.) got the Yotes on the board with an RBI single to open the frame, before classmate
Alejandro McKay (San Diego, Calif.) drove in a pair with a double to center to bring the Yotes to within nine at 12-3.
The Wolverines added three more in the bottom of the frame to give the game its final score of 15-3.
Junior
Aidan Colin (Garden Grove, Calif.) was tagged with the loss for the Coyotes, conceding two earned runs in 0.2 innings.
Next up for the Yotes, they'll return to CCAA play by starting a four-game series at Chico State on Thursday. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m.
