PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - The California State University San Bernardino men's golf team finished the NCAA Championships in 13th place on Wednesday, finishing the third round with their best round of the tournament at one-over par at the Champion Course at PGA National Resort.
Senior
John Kim (Palm Desert, Calif.) save his best round for last, shooting a four-under 68 in the third round. He made six birdies in the round, and tied for sixth overall to be named a GCAAÂ Ping First Team All-American.
Freshman
Tyler Price (Yucaipa, Calif.)Â and sophomore
Kamron Hopson (Redlands, Calif.) were each one-over on the day. The duo combined for seven birdies.
Capping the scorers for CSUSB was graduate student
Jetty Sivongsay (Fullerton, Calif.). He shot a three-over 75 with five birdies.Â
The Yotes finished five shots ahead of CCAA rival Cal State East Bay, the only other West Region competition to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
