Game 1 - Cal State San Bernardino 13, Menlo 2 (6 Innings)
The Yotes scored all 13 runs in the final three innings of the contest, striking for three in the fourth, three in the fifth, and seven in the sixth.
Diggy Olson (Riverside, Calif.) opened the scoring with a two-run double in the top of the fourth, and she later scored on a Mia Escujuri (Chino Hills, Calif.) single to center field.
In the fifth, Shannon Galliano (San Mateo, Calif.) put CSUSB on top by four with a sacrifice fly to right, followed by an Isabella Venegas (Upland, Calif.) RBI triple and an Alex Hooper (Auburn, Calif.) RBI single to left.
Menlo scored their only two runs in the bottom of the fifth to cut the deficit to 6-2, but the seven Coyote runs in the top of the sixth put the contest out of reach. Bri Goris (Chino, Calif.) started the rally with an RBI double to score Emilie Lapeña (Buena Park, Calif.). Later in the frame, Madison Zaro (Chino, Calif.) notched a two-run single up the middle, while Olson, freshman Belinda Lujano (Burbank, Calif.), and junior Annamaria Nuno (Moreno Valley, Calif.) each recorded RBIs in the frame.
Hooper led the Yotes offensively with a 3-for-4 showing with two runs scored and an RBI. Olson went 2-for-3 with three runs batted in and two runs scored, while Goris and Galliano each had a pair of hits.
In the circle, Brooke Blackmon (Exeter, Calif.) got the win, throwing a complete game and allowing just two earned runs with six strikeouts.

Game 2 - Cal State San Bernardino 4, Dominican 2
The Coyotes struck first in the top of the second inning, when Sarah Moite (Fresno, Calif.) drove in Lindsey Marschall (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) on a sacrifice fly to put the Yotes on top 1-0.Â
Dominican tied the score on a double in the bottom of the frame, but CSUSB answered quickly thanks to a Marschall RBI single in the top of the third.
The 2-1 score lasted all the way until the bottom of the sixth, when a bases-loaded hit by pitch leveled the score. The Yotes however plated two massive runs in the top of the seventh to take the lead for good. Junior Brooke Brazill (Clovis, Calif.) put the Coyotes on top with a sacrifice fly, before her team got some insurance on an RBI single to center from senior Tereise Tosi (Garden Grove, Calif.).
Coyote reliever Ashley Legler (San Diego, Calif.) allowed only one baserunner in the bottom of the seventh to close out the win. She improves to 3-1 overall on the season with the victory.
Olson and Brazill each posted a pair of hits to pace the Yotes offensively, while Marschall went 1-for-2 with a walk, run scored, and run batted in.

Next up for the Coyotes, they will start conference play with a home-opening doubleheader against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Friday. First pitch in game one of the twinbill is slated for 12 p.m.
