SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino men's soccer team wrapped up its 2025 regular season with a 2-1 win over their rival from Cal Poly Pomona Thursday afternoon in CCAA action at Premier Field.

With the win, the Coyotes move to 9-3-6 overall and 4-2-4 in the CCAA. The win helps propel the Yotes into the fourth seed in the upcoming CCAA Tournament, and the right to host a first round tournament game. 

The Coyotes scored early to take control of the game, as redshirt junior Julian Vazquez (Los Angeles, Calif.) broke the ice with a marker in the eighth minute, assisted by defender Marcos Delgado (Las Vegas, Nev.). 

CSUSB extended the lead to a pair in the 33rd minute on the seventh goal of the season from senior Anthony Morales (Orange, Calif.). Freshman Josiah Martinez (Las Vegas, Nev.) tallied an assist on the play.

The game remained 2-0 until Cal Poly Pomona cut the lead to one in the 78th minute, but that was as close as the Broncos would get, as the Coyotes secured the victory. 

In goal, the win was credited to Yotes goalkeeper Donovan Palomares (Boyle Heights, Calif.), who turned aside three Bronco shots to earn the win.

Next up for the Coyotes, they will play Cal State San Marcos on Sunday in the first round of the CCAA Tournament at Premier Field. Kickoff time is currently to be determined.
