ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Kacie Pedersen from Cal State San Bernardino has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 10-16.
Pedersen averaged 4.38 kills per set to help the Coyotes win two matches and secure the No. 2 seed in the CCAA Tournament. She added 2.5 digs per set and four service aces.
The junior outside hitter opened the week by recording 16 kills and a .333 hitting percentage in a three-set sweep over Cal State Monterey Bay. Then, in a battle to determine who would be the No. 2 seed, Pedersen posted a double-double with 19 kills and 15 digs in a five-set win over Cal State LA.
Pedersen ranks 15th in NCAA Division II with 4.12 kills per set and 18th with 4.71 points per set.
This is Pedersen's first career CCAA Offensive Player of the Week award, and it is the first for CSUSB in 2025. She joins teammates Jaiden Van Horn (Elk Ridge, Utah), the CCAA Setter of the Week on September 9, and Jayden Chornomud (Canyon Lake, Calif.), the CCAA Defensive Player of the Week on September 23, as CCAA weekly award winners this season.
Cal State San Bernardino now heads to the CCAA Volleyball Tournament in Turlock. It will face the winner of No. 3 seed Cal State LA and the No. 6 seed Cal State East Bay in the semifinals. Both matches will be available on FloCollege.
